The United States Tennis Association (USTA) has initiated a pilot project to designate and recognize top-performing tennis operators as “USTA Premier Facilities”. Williamson County Parks and Recreation and the City of Chattanooga’s, Champions Club, were selected as two of the nation’s first 50 pilot sites for 2023-2024.

A record number of Adult League teams from Tennessee advanced to Nationals in the 2021 Championship Year. To reach this stage, teams must progress through three stages: Local Leagues, State Championships, and Sectional Championships. The third annual McKinney Dalstrom 10&Under Circuit Finals were held in conjunction with the Knoxville Challenger (ATP 80) on November 13th-14th.

USTA Tennessee partnered with TSSAA to host the 2021 Middle School Tennis State Championships in Murfreesboro on October 1-2.

On June 10th, the University of Memphis and the City of Memphis came together to break ground on the new Leftwich Tennis Center.

School and Community Tennis trainings and workshops have resumed across the state! In recent weeks, USTA Tennessee has conducted multiple Tennis in Schools and Community Tennis workshops in order to grow the game in our Tennessee schools and communities.

The Southern Tennis Foundation (STF), the charitable arm of United States Tennis Association (USTA) Southern Section, announces the establishment of the Paul Scarpa Scholarships.

Tennessee’s first tournament in 2021 provided spirited competition for 90 players and their families.
