USTA Tennessee partnered with TSSAA to host the 2021 Middle School Tennis State Championships in Murfreesboro on October 1-2. The event featured 31 teams from across the state in the first year of State Championships at the state-of-the-art Adams Tennis Complex.
An open invitation was extended to Girls, Boys, and Co-Ed middle school teams to the Championships to accommodate the various Middle School Tennis formats throughout the state. Gold, Silver, and Bronze flights were established in each division to ensure proper placement of teams based on skill level.
Team matches consisted of 1 singles and 2 doubles lines in which the winner was determined by total number of games won. Needless to say, every game was vital in the outcome of the team match!
Congratulations to players from all schools that participated in the inaugural Middle School Tennis State Championships! The tentative date for the 2022 Championships is September 23-24.
