NASHVILLE, Tenn. – September 19, 2017 – USTA Tennessee welcomes Jason Ontog as the Director of Adult Tennis. Having deep Tennessee roots, Jason grew up and trained as a junior tennis player in Chattanooga. Jason has a variety of tennis experience ranging from a collegiate tennis career and a professional tennis teaching career: having played at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he was inducted into the UTC Hall of Fame, and having coached at The Baylor School (Chattanooga) and at The Racquet Club of Memphis. Jason is moving to Nashville, from Oxford, MS, where he most recently served as the University of Mississippi’s Assistant Head Coach to the Women’s Tennis Team.

“I’m thrilled to begin working as the Director of Adult Tennis—helping grow the game of tennis and helping make the tennis experience even better for Tennessee’s current players,” said Jason. “I’m also looking forward to working again in Tennessee tennis, as I will be working with many people whom I have grown up learning from and admiring since I started my professional career.”

Michael Chamberlain, USTA Tennessee Executive Director, speaks on behalf of the organization.

“Having worked with Jason in the past, I am very excited to have him on board with Team Tennessee,” said Michael. “Jason will be an invaluable asset to our staff and our state, and I look forward to working with him as he seeks to grow Adult Tennis.”

Please feel free to send Jason a warm welcome or to contact him with questions on Adult Tennis at jasonontog@ustatn.com.
