Tenis Para Todos Summer Festival

TenisParaTodos-4c
May 23, 2016 02:07 PM

USTA Tennessee has been selected by the USTA National office to pilot a model of Hispanic/ Latino Outreach in an effort to bring new populations to the game of tennis. We are initially starting in Nashville with future plans to expand throughout the state. The Launch for our program, Tenis Para Todos, will be on June 11th at Coleman Community Center in Nashville at 384 Thompson Lane from 10-1:00 pm central. We will be joined by D.A. Abrams and Bill Leong, the USTA National Director and Managing Director of Diversity and Inclusion; and USTA Southern Staff Members including Shelby Fitzpatrick, David Araiza, Cee Jai Jones, and Ron Cioffi. We are also partnering with local organizations in Nashville:  Metro Parks and Recreation Department, Conexión Americas, Hispanic Family Foundation, among other Non- Profit Organizations.

Early registration is requested for the event at www.tenisparatodostn.com. All who preregister will receive a FREE TEE SHIRT at the event! The event will be a Tennis Festival with games, many activities, food, and music!

During the event, we will be offering  registration for Family Playdays as well as summer camps. Tenis para Todos Playdays will take place on June 18th and 25th from 9- 11 a.m. at the Antioch Middle School Courts. These will be free of charge and family oriented to welcome everyone on the sport.

Summer camps will be offered in June and July at the Antioch Middle School and Granbery Park courts. Camps are planned 1.5 or 2 hours based on age break.  Registration is available at ustatn.com/ summer_camps
