Tennessee Tennis Patrons Foundation Doubles Grants & Assistance in 2017

During 2017, the foundation provided financial assistance to five junior players with their tournament expenses, including Nicole Christiansen, Ensley Cate Collins, Leo Nedkov, Reagan Welch, and Takuma Walter.

The foundation helped to fund professional tournaments Memphis Open (an ATP 250 event) and the Knoxville Challenger (a USTA Pro Circuit event which partners with the Helen Ross McNabb Center to raise funds for an important Knoxville charity).

The foundation awarded grants to the two USTA TN Junior Qualifying tournaments in Chattanooga and Murfreesboro.

Through matching grants, the foundation provided community grants to schools in Greene County and Knox County (Fulton High School and Pond Gap Elementary School) to help local public schools add tennis to their PE curriculum.

The foundation assisted Junior Team Tennis teams from Hendersonville and Knoxville advance to the national championships. The foundation subsidized the Tennessee Southern Junior Cup Team. I

In sum, the foundation's total grants and assistance more than doubled its assistance in 2016 and far exceeded any prior year’s awards.
