USTA Tennessee Mixed League State Championships

Deadline for Legal Team Registration - August 10, 2018

A minimum of six players must be registered by August 10, 2018 in order for a team to be considered legal.


Captains Check In:

There will be a Captain's check in and Player Party on Thursday August 23, 2018 from 5:30pm to 7:00pm at the Champions Club.


Tournament Format:

The format for the USTA Tennessee Mixed League Championship will be round robin based on the number of teams entered.  Levels that have two flights will play a round robin in each flight, and the winner of each flight will play each other for the Championship.

Format changes may be made at the direction and discretion of the tournament committee.


Tournament Entry Fee:

The tournament entry fee is $35.00 per player, if registered by August 17, 2018. After August 17, 2018, the entry fee will be $60.00. Individual registration closes August 21, 2018. Players registering after August 21, 2018 require Championship Committee approval. Online registration is required. Click here to register.

Schedule of Play:



Order of Play

Matches will be put on court in the following order of play:

#1 Doubles, #2 Doubles, #3 Doubles.

Please be sure your players are on the right court. Please instruct your your players to introduce themselves to their opponents, i.e., “I’m Patty; my partner is Vicki, and we are playing #1 doubles
from Memphis.



Dynamic ratings will be calculated for all players following the conclusion of the State Championship. Those players that meet the criteria for NTRP disqualification will be disqualified, but all points earned by the disqualified player at the Championship will stand.  Disqualified players will be notified by the State League Coordinator and may not play at the disqualified NTRP level of play for the remainder of the Championship  league year.  All NTRP grievances filed at the Championship will be handled after the Championship. Forms are available at each site at the tournament desk


Tournament Desk:

A tournament desk will be located at each court site. All teams are asked to check in at their court site at least 30 minutes prior to their scheduled match (with all team members present). Captains are asked to turn in their team line up no later than five (5) minutes prior to scheduled match time. Once line ups have been turned in, players must be present. The USTA Point Penalty System will be in effect with lateness penalities imposed. A fifteen (15) -minute default time will be enforced.


Rain Schedule:

In case of inclement weather, matches may be delayed.  Matches could be played under lights or indoors, if available. If  rain contingencies are used, the scoring format may be changed.



Awards will be presented to only to players of the winning team that have registered for the State Championship.
